Our Story

Saurashtra Patidar Society of Canada was formed by community members who recognized the need for an organized platform to bring together the Saurashtra Patidar community in Edmonton. From the beginning, the focus has been on creating meaningful cultural and social gatherings that strengthen community bonds while preserving tradition.

The Society began by organizing large community events such as Navratri celebrations, Diwali gatherings, and family picnics, which quickly became important occasions for members to connect, celebrate, and pass traditions on to the next generation. These events laid the foundation for a growing and engaged community.

Today, the Society supports a community of over 500 members in and around Edmonton. Through cultural, religious, and social events, we continue to bring families together, support newcomers as they settle in Canada, and maintain strong connections across generations. Guided by dedicated core members and volunteers, the Society continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of its community.
